Okay, so I appreciate that my weakness is probably that I have too much of a broad, macro-level perspective on fat loss. I have almost become dismissive of the “little things” that add up to success over time.


These things are incredibly important, especially if you’re a relative beginner, or haven’t made progress in a while. Whilst long-term strategic planning is key, you also need day to day success as well.


Without further ado, here are my top 3 fat loss tips:


Place a strategic picture of your ideal physique on the fridge door


Thinking about ploughing into that ice cream? Think again.


Want to look like Daniel Craig? Hugh Jackedman? Put that fork down!


This tactic alone has the potential to prevent enormous binge-fests and losses of control. This has the potential to really keep you going through the hard times.

Vary your go-to protein sources on a weekly basis


I want you to do this before you get sick of the same foods. Before. Otherwise it’s too late as you’re already thinking about “tastier” (read:fat loss momentum-destroying) foods.


This means bring in some unusual sources of protein into your rotation. Maybe some:


  • seafood,
  • buffalo,
  • lamb,
  • pork,
  • steak,
  • duck,
  • pheasant,
  • rabbit,
  • liver


…bloody hell there’s loads. Mix it up. Have some variety.


Add huge amounts of volume to your food


This means vegetables and salads. This stuff all has an incredible amount of micronutrients, often huge amounts of fiber, all for very few calories. These are absolute lifesavers on a diet.


Put your ego aside, stop giving a shit, and have a monstrous fucking salad.
