Daniel Craig (James Bond) had a great physique in the films Casino Royale and…
A very common theme among Men Over 40 both online and from guys I know in real life, is that they do believe they can lose weight, but they don’t believe they can achieve anything remotely impressive.
A typical goal for a lot of Men Over 40 is to ‘lose 20 pounds’, or for the slightly more ambitious guys – ‘hit 15% body fat’. There’s nothing wrong with this at all, but I do think that the mindset that these goals is coming from is a little bit ‘off’.
This is likely because guys will look around themselves at their colleagues at work, long-term friends, and family members – gradually gaining weight year on year, expanding the beer belly, and becoming more sedentary. They think:
“Well simply not getting fat is an achievement at my age – look at me, I’m miles ahead of Bob, Bill and Joe.”
Whilst that is true in a relative sense, I don’t think it’s a good mindset to have. The reality is that the standard for most Men Over 40 is so damn low, you shouldn’t even be looking at these guys.
The equivalent of this for a younger man would be to compare himself to the average millenial on a financial level. If the average millenial is $50k+ indebted, lives at home with his parents and earns $10k per year as a barista, why would the younger man even use that as a comparison?
He would need to be looking at men in their 30’s or 40’s who are earning six-figures, to have any hope of getting anywhere in life. And it’s the same thing for you:
If Bob, Bill, and Joe are all headed towards obesity, heart disease and plummeting self-esteem, I don’t think they should even be on your radar.
Instead, the responses to this tweet demonstrate what you’re capable of (and no, they’re not lying as I’ve been in contact with these guys since I started tweeting regularly over a year ago).
‘Gerd E’ (57): Went from 235 to under 200, and is starting to see abs(!) for the first time in his life. At age fifty-seven(!!) In better condition that he ever was in his 20’s – which was 30+ years ago! Holy shit.
‘Rick Ross’: Now Rick is an older guy as I recognise his name from previous communications, but I can’t for the life of me remember how old he is specifically. But he’s down 140, yes, one-hundred-and-forty pounds, and is now a 32 inch waist! Jesus. I am a 32 inch waist, and I’m 10% body fat. Impressive.
‘Mike Zapicchi’ (64): Mike’s gone from 209 to 178 in three months, at the age of SIXTY-FOUR! Incredible, and now he’s shifting gears towards building more lean muscle with the James Bond program.
You are capable of way, WAY more than you think with fitness, similarly to how the younger man is capable of way, WAY more than he thinks with business and finances.
You just have to:
- Make diet, training and sleep high priorities
- Learn as much as you can
- Follow an excellent and proven plan, like the 007 program
Within a matter of time, you’ll be losing absolutely tons of fat, gaining lean muscle, and looking better than men 10-30 years younger than you (depending on how seriously you take it).
I’m not joking.
The guys above are proving what is possible for you – Gerd E is looking better than he did over three decades ago. It’s about taking action, refusing to quit, and following a reliable and effective plan geared for Men Over 40. This means a strong focus on recovery and testosterone. Crucial.
If you combine the training program linked above with a tailored Intermittent Fasting plan, then you well and truly are on the path to greatness.
