Phen Q Phen Q is a powerful fat burner. It will help you to burn…
The following is a guest post from Jon Anthony, from Masculine Development – a self-improvement blog designed to help you become the best man possible.
Everyone wants to get shredded and cut fat, but if you look around you, you’ll see millions of men that are drastically overweight. Why is this? Well, part of it is a lack of discipline – but a big part of it is also a lack of understanding.
Getting shredded is a science, and like any science, with enough research, it can be understood. That’s why I’d like to offer up my top supplements for cutting fat and getting shredded today – all of this is based on research and experience.
I’m not going to sell you snake oil, or some stupid body building supplement that over promises and under-delivers. Instead, I’m going to give you a list of the best supplements so you can get absolutely shredded in time for spring break.
So, with that in mind, let’s get to it.
Cutting Best Practices
Before we get into the most effective supplements for burning fat, I first want to explain something very clearly – you CAN NOT avoid putting in THE WORK!
Too many guys these days think you can just take a pill or a potion, and it’s magically going to help you go from being 50 pounds overweight to being a shredded behemoth that makes women wet by just taking your shirt off.
Losing fat and getting shredded is always going to take work, and most of your efforts are going to come from the fundamentals. Things like counting your calories, having a good workout routine, and recovering enough are critical.
With that in mind, these cutting supplements are meant to be an addition to your regular healthy routine, to give you a nice little boost in fat burning. Don’t get me wrong – some of them are extremely powerful.
Always remember, though – nothing will work if you don’t.
Best Cutting Supplements
Now, let’s get on to the good stuff. I’ve been in the fitness industry for a while now, and in my experience, these are the top supplements for burning fat.
I’ve ranked them in order of “most effective” to “least effective” – but even the ones at the very bottom are still going to be 50x more effective than most of the overpriced garbage they’ll be hocking you at GNC.
Here are the best cutting supplements in 2021:
- ECA Stack
- Fat Burner
- Pre Workout
If you want to really crank up the fat burning, you can try combining some of these supplements with intermittent fasting. Remember though, the top three are extremely powerful so use them with caution.
SARMs, short for “Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators,” are one of the most cutting-edge and powerful supplements on the market these days. In fact, they’re so effective that they’re currently undergoing FDA Phase III Clinical Trials as a treatment to help cancer patients build muscle, and avoid withering away. [R]
When I first wrote about them three years ago, I essentially compared them to legal steroids (which they are). Very few people had caught on at that point – but thanks to social media, they’re becoming more and more popular each day.
It’s important to note that there’s many different types of SARMs, but the best SARMs for shredding fat (in my opinion) are Ostarine and RAD 140.
Don’t take my word for it, though. Just take a look at the SARMs results I got.
Another one of the most effective supplements for cutting fat is called the “ECA Stack,” which is short for Ephedrine, Caffeine, and Aspirin. This old school body building stack has been around for decades now, but is highly potent.
The ECA stack has the potential to push your fat burning into over-drive, and while it certainly isn’t without its potential side effects, the upside is huge.
In fact, a study conducted at Harvard Medical school found that test subjects who took the ECA stack burned a whopping 246% more fat than the placebo group. [R]
Here are some benefits of the ECA Stack:
- Suppress Hunger (Great for Fasting)
- Increase Metabolism (Burn Fat Faster)
- More Energy (Combat Lethargy on a Cut)
- Improved Focus (Great for Getting Work Done)
This potent stack of fat-burning substances has a catch, though – while the caffeine and aspirin are readily available to buy, the ephedrine has to be purchased in the form of “Bronkaid” which is under the counter in the USA.
Funny how a fat burner comes in ranking at #3 in a list of the best fat burning supplements, isn’t it? The reason is that all the good stuff is in a legal gray area, but even still, there’s some legitimately powerful fat burners out there.
As a side note, DO NOT take a fat burner with the ECA stack. You should either take on or the other. If you take both, your risk of side effects goes way up.
Here’s a few ingredients known for burning fat:
- Green Tea Extract
- Rosea Rhodiola
- Cayenne Pepper
Most of your fat burners are going to have something like that inside of them – and if they only have 1-2 ingredients, that’s how you tell they’re very low quality.
Even though most pre workout supplements aren’t marketed towards fat loss, they’re great to combine with a fasted workout, and the added caffeine will help suppress your appetite throughout the day, and accelerate your metabolism.
The best pre workout supplements are going to be clinically dosed. Here’s a huge insider secret – a lot of pre workout companies use “proprietary blends” as a legal loophole to avoid telling you that they’re under-dosing their supplements.
In other words, the minimum effective dosage of something like beta alanine may be around 3.2 grams, but a company will put in only 1 gram, label it as a “proprietary blend,” and then that way they can avoid telling you that they’re really giving you an extremely low dose of something that won’t even affect you.
Here are some good pre workouts I recommend:
- Nitraflex (by GAT)
- Gorilla Mode
- Jack3d (If You Can Find It)
Nitraflex and Gorilla Mode are my two go-to pre-workouts, that I’ll use for 99% of my workout routines. Occasionally I’ll try something new just to test it out, but over the years I’ve continually returned to those two pre workouts over and over.
BCAA’s, short for “Branched Chain Amino Acids,” are your best friend if you’re trying to cut fat with intermittent fasting, but avoid losing muscle. Often this is one of the biggest challenges when you’re cutting – it’s easy to lose fat, but you will also end up losing muscle and strength.
Nobody wants that, right? Well, the solution is BCAA’s. Just one scoop of a good BCAA supplement in the morning, and it will give your body the nutrients it needs in order to prevent muscle-breakdown (without breaking your fast!). [R]
How cool is that? Personally, I use XTEND Sport BCAA’s. Just one scoop each morning, and it prevents muscle breakdown, and ensures that my body has the nutrients it needs to continually recover, without breaking my fast.
In conclusion, SARMs are certainly the most effective fat burning supplement on the market – and even though they’re not approved by the FDA for human consumption (yet), they’re completely legal to buy and sell for “research” online.
Next to SARMs, the ECA stack is going to be the strongest supplement for shredding fat, and then past that, we’ve got an actual fat burner.
Don’t neglect the last two, though – a pre workout can be a phenomenal way to boost your performance at the gym, and I personally take BCAA’s every single day to avoid going into a state of catabolism (muscle breakdown).
