You can do the same if you want it badly enough. Ignore societal norms, get to work.
If you’re someone who is either:
A) Looking to spice up your program, or
B) Gets bored doing straight sets
then you could look into doing Reverse Pyramid Training. It’s essentially starting with your “top” (heaviest set) and then dropping the weights from there and performing more reps. It gives great variety to each workout, and can be great fun.
So you start from the “top” of the pyramid and work your way down. You get the benefits of multiple rep ranges this way.
Martins points about fractional plates are also very true – check them out for optimal gradual progressive overload.
I’ve said it before, plenty of times, but you shouldn’t ever go keto if you value:
- Long-term fat loss, or
- Your muscle
